Vocabulary

Perseverance

Perseverance: A steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.

Perseverance requires the acknowledgment of your doubts and the countering of them. You have to make yourself say, “Yes, I feel like giving up because this situation sucks, but what can I do to make it suck less?”

Traipse

Traipse: to walk or go aimlessly or idly or without finding or reaching one’s goal

It was difficult to find a video that fit this meaning. There’s plenty where the meaning is used incorrectly. I finally chose this one because I honestly don’t get the point behind this. It seems like there’s no real purpose, so it fits the whole “aimless/idle” concept.

 Cavalcade

Cavalcade: a procession of persons riding on horses, in horse-drawn carriages, in cars, etc; any procession; any noteworthy series, as of events or activities. *Definition taken from dictionary.com; all pictures were found through Google Images.

All of these are examples of cavalcades.

Renascent

Meaning: being reborn; springing again into being or vigor; being renewed

 Nuance

Meaning: a subtle difference or distinction in expression; a very slight difference or variation in color and tone.

A Demonstration of Nuance:

Amalgamate

Meaning: to mix or merge so as to make a combination; to blend, unite, or combine.

A Video Demonstrating the concept:

Aether

Meaning: This word has two meanings. In Greek mythology, aether is the personification of space and heaven. Classically, it is the material that fills the region of the universe above space.

Aether has been used as a medium in science and as a substance in philosophy. In alchemy, in natural philosophy, and in early modern science it was considered the ‘fifth element.’
