So yes, Nano is here again. I’m working on a novel about a sword (from the sword’s point of view) called Bittersweet and it’s urban fantasy mixed with high fantasy (so high urban? I don’t know. Genres). Anyway, each year, different authors are asked to give Pep Talks, and Veronica Roth agreed to give one this year. Here’s the pep talk. And here are my favorite parts of it:
“Whatever you do, don’t hold so tightly to whatever writer identity you have formed for yourself that you can’t innovate, change, and grow.”
“What is important, far more than the definitions we cling to, is that we finish the stories we are burning to tell.”
Go read the pep talk for the rest!
